Your Questions & Our Commitment to Safety

We want you to have a fantastic and worry-free day on the water. Here you'll find answers to common questions and details on our safety-first approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really not need a license for the 40hp boats?

That is correct. In Greece, you do not need a boating license to operate a vessel with an engine of 40hp or less. Our "Freedom Fleet" boats are all brand new, equipped with 40hp engines, making them legally available for you to captain yourself. We will give you a full tutorial before you depart to ensure you are completely comfortable.

What is included in the rental price?

The rental price includes the boat for the agreed-upon duration (half or full day), all safety equipment (life jackets, flares, first-aid kit), a cooler box for your drinks and snacks, third-party insurance, and a pre-departure briefing and tutorial.

How does the fuel policy work?

The boat will be provided to you with a full tank of fuel. When you return to the port at the end of your rental period, we will escort you to the fuel station inside the marina to refuel the boat. You will only pay for the fuel that you have actually consumed during your trip. This is the fairest method for everyone.

What should we bring with us for the day?

We recommend bringing towels, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, plenty of water and drinks, snacks or a picnic, and your camera! You may also want to bring snorkeling gear to explore the amazing underwater life.

What happens if the weather is bad on my rental day?

Your safety is our absolute priority. If the port authority or our experienced team deems the weather conditions (e.g., high winds) unsafe for small boats, we will not allow rentals to proceed. In this case, we will work with you to reschedule your booking for the next available day or provide a full refund of your deposit.

Our Commitment to Your Safety

Your safety and peace of mind are non-negotiable. Our fleet is brand new and professionally maintained, but our commitment goes further. Before every single rental, our experienced team provides a comprehensive briefing covering:

  • Full, hands-on operation of the boat.
  • Clear safety rules and procedures of the sea.
  • How to use all safety equipment on board.
  • Proper anchoring technique to protect the boat and sea life.
  • A review of the local sea chart, pointing out areas of interest and any potential hazards.
A display of safety equipment including life jackets, a first-aid kit, and flares.
